Leaders in Ganduje’s ward in Dawakin Tofa LG, Kano, had, on Monday, suspended the APC national chairman. Now, they have been suspended
The State Working Committee of the Kano chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has reversed the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje. Also, the committee suspended the ward leaders who earlier suspended Ganduje.
The Dawakin Tofa APC Chairman, Inusa Dawanau, said those behind Ganduje’s suspension were involved in anti-party activities. He added that their meetings with the opposition were exposed. Also, the state’s APC chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, said they had adopted the decisions of the Local Government party leaders. He added that the ward leaders’ anti-party activities were being investigated.
“And the State Working Committee has agreed to sanction them for six months. They will remain suspended until the expiration of the period,” Abbas said.Recall that the Kano High Court had said Ganduje, APC National Chairman, will, on April 17, be arraigned on charges bothering on allegations of bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of funds, including the purported acceptance of $413,000 and N1.38bn in bribes.
