Kaduna Deputy Governor, Hadiza Balarabe warns public against internet scammers
In a statement on Thursday, by Hajiya Maryam Abubakar, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, said, “This is to notify the general public to be wary of the activities of fraudsters who are operating fake Facebook accounts using the name of the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, to scam people.
“For instance, some of these fake accounts are asking people to provide their bank account details, and promising to provide them with financial empowerment.” The statement said According to the statement, “The public is therefore advised to keep off from such accounts and never fall prey to the antics of these fraudsters by divulging their account details to them.“Security agents are investigating the activities of these internet fraudsters and will prosecute them in accordance with extant laws when apprehended,” the statement added.
