The Attorney General of Kaduna State and Commissioner of Justice, Aisha Dikko, said on Sunday that the state had charged a suspect parading himself as a medical doctor before a Chief Magistrate’s Cour
t in the state for impersonation and certificate forgery.
She noted that the prosecution followed an order by the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, that the suspected fake medical doctor be investigated by the health ministry. A statement by the Attorney General of Kaduna State, Justice Aisha Dikko released on Sunday, said the suspect had finally been dragged before the chief magistrate’s court for “certificate forgery and impersonation”.
The Attorney General said, “The Ministry of Health set up a four-member committee to investigate and verify the certificates and institutions that Saidu claimed to have attended as well as verify his registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
