MANILA— Former senator Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito on Saturday filed his certificate of candidacy for his bid to return to the chamber in the 2022 elections.
His half-brother former senator Jinggoy Estrada earlier said he would also mount a Senate comeback bid. Ejercito lost his reelection bid during the midterm elections in 2019, landing on the 13th spot, about 150,000 votes behind Sen. Nancy Binay, who secured the last Senate spot.
