The Senate through its Committee on Nigerian Army has condemned the killing of five soldiers in Aba, Abia State.Politics Nigeria reports that the upper chamber of the National Assembly has called for a thorough investigation into the incident. The chairman of the Committee, Abdulaziz Yar'adua, made the call in a statement on Saturday, describing the attack as 'heinous and cowardly'.
He also called for a 'decisive and resolute response from the military to combat this act of terror, ensuring the group responsible faces overwhelming military pressure until their complete defeat'.The Senate Committee on Army reiterated its support for the armed forces and urged unity and collective resolve in the face of violence and insurgency. 'In times like these, unity, resilience, and collective resolve are paramount.
