The deceased was a prominent Islamic scholar in Niger State, North-Central Nigeria.
Reacting to his death, Abdullahi Idris Garba, a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Kontagora/Wushishi/Mariga/Mashegu Federal Constituency, said he was heartbroken.“I am deeply saddened over the demise of late Sheik Malam Shehu Musa Rimaye,” Garba said in a statement he personally signed on Friday.
“The death of this outstanding religious leader and an icon of philanthropy and humility is a great loss to the Kontagora Emirate. “As an Islamic cleric and leader, the late Sheikh Shehu made huge sacrifices in the promotion of Islam and Islamic scholarship. “His very good legacies will eke his memory in the sands of time such that even generations yet unborn will pray to Allah for the repose of his soul.Advertisement
