Just in: Kidnapped Ekiti driver regains freedom
The driver of a commercial vehicle who was kidnapped last week Tuesday by gunmen has regained freedom.
Akinde was waylaid by his abductors at a bad portion of a road close to the NYSC farm in Iju/Ita-Ogbolu in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo state. It was gathered the abductors contacted Akinde’s family on Thursday via telephone demanding N5m as his release clause.Multiple source close to the victims claimed that undisclosed ransom was paid to his captors before he was released.
