JUST IN: INEC receives 7 fresh applications for party registration [FULL LIST]

The Independent National Electoral Commission has received new applications for the registration of seven political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This was disclosed by INEC in a statement issued by Sam Olumekun, the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee on Thursday. “Unlike the manual method used in previous registration, the Commission is introducing a political party registration portal which is a module in our Party Financial Reporting and Auditing System .
