The House of Representatives on Tuesday, November 26, passed a resolution urging President Bola Tinubu to remove Danladi Umar as the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal due to misconduct.
The resolution, moved by House Leader Julius Ihonvbere , cited Umar's recent public conduct, including an altercation with a security guard at Banex Plaza, which led to an invitation by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Public Petitions. Ihonvbere stated that the Code of Conduct Tribunal is a key institution responsible for maintaining high standards of public morality and accountability.
