A communications specialist and senior crime reporter with Daily Trust Newspaper, Idowu Isamotu, has been shot by gunmen along the Lokoja-Obajana road in Kogi State, The PUNCH reports.

They have been taken to the hospital as of the time of filling this report.

When contacted, the Kogi State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, said he would inform the police formations along the Lokoja-Obajana route. Aya said, “I’m reaching out to all police formations along that road. The Lokoja-Obajana road is long, hence I need to contact the DPOs in the area concerning the situation report.”All rights reserved.
