The Federal High Court in Kano has issued an interim order halting the National Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Kano Electricity Distribution Company from implementing a new increased electricity tariff for Band A consumers in the DisCo’s franchise area.
In response to concerns raised, Justice A.M. Liman granted the interim order following an ex-parte motion brought by A.B. Mahmoud, SAN, representing several companies, including Super Sack Company Limited, BBY Sacks Limited, Mama Sannu Industries Limited, Dala Foods Nigeria Limited, Tofa Textile Limited, and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria Limited .
