The money will be disbursed by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund through its National Research Fund.
Prof. Bogoro said the funds would enable scholars of tertiary institutions conduct cutting edge research for the growth and development of the country. Bogoro said the committee was made up of seasoned academics of repute that could devote their time and energy to critically review research proposals competing for fund with a view to recommending for grants.
