Amnesty International has once again urged the Nigerian authorities to release all individuals detained for participating in the #EndBadGovernance protests, which took place from August 1 to August 10.
In a statement shared on Twitter, Amnesty International condemned the charges, labelling them as 'absurd' and a clear attempt to stifle dissent. “President Bola Tinubu’s reckless attempts to charge those who protested against widespread poverty with ‘treason’ is beyond absurd,” Amnesty International tweeted.
