Members of the Progressives Governors’ Forum on Friday urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to prevail on the Central Bank of Nigeria to allow the old and new naira notes to co-exist.
Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who spoke to journalists in Hausa, revealed this shortly after governors elected on the All Progressives Congress ticket met the President at the State House, Abuja.
But he didn’t indicate whether or not there will be an extension. He only said he will have to find out what is really happening. Due to this, the President said he would consider it. And our Chairman, Abubakar Bagudu, is inside with the President,” el-Rufai said.
