The Nation Newspaper Judge who tried to stop Sanusi’s reinstatement as emir is in America, says Gov Yusuf
of Kano State stated on Friday, May 24, that Justice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court in Kano, who issued an order on Thursday restraining the state government from enforcing the Kano State Emirate Council Repeal Law, is currently in America.
Justice Mohammed Liman gave the order following an application by a kingmaker, Alhaji Aminu Babba Dan Agundi. He said the Kano State Emirate Council Repeal Law 2024 happened to affect the five emirs while favouring Sanusi. The governor said Kano is peaceful and calm, as he appealed to the people to go about their businesses freely.
