Nigeria is ranked among the top 10 globally in the rating of countries with the most travelled citizens, President Bola Tinubu said.
Tinubu who quoted the United Nations for the figure, acknowledged the complexity and the scale of migration among Nigerians.
The President who was represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume also shared his personal experience, having lived in the United States before returning to Nigeria. He therefore encouraged Nigerians in the Diaspora to bring back their experiences to contribute to national development.
Director General of the Southeast Governors’ Forum, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has called on residents of the Southeast zone to see the UK Visa Processing Centre in Enugu as a huge opportunity to apply and process their visas, saying it’s a low-cost, time and efficient one-stop window. Chairman, Senate Committee on Privatisation, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has called on youths to shelve plans to hold a national protest, saying that although every Nigerian has a right to protest, such action will affect the economy immensely.
