Former Top Gear star James May has announced he is moving away from his regular roles on motoring shows with Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson as he launches his own solo YouTube channel
James May is shaking things up and stepping out on his own with a new venture, launching his own YouTube channel that is separate from his work alongside The Grand Tour's Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson .
He made it clear that while his channel is hosted on YouTube, he won't be playing by the typical influencer rules, stating: "It is a YouTube channel in that it's on YouTube, it's not a YouTube channel in that it's not going to follow the YouTube norms." "Watch it if you fancy it, if you don't? There's not going to be that much on there." James concluded with a candid take on his content strategy: "I'm not going to be feeding the beast because Gin just isn't that interesting."
