Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has accused Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, of politicising the death of Nigerian singer, Mohbad, as a movement against his former record label boss, Naira Marley.
He made the allegations while reacting to Ojo's claims that he is 'confusing' the youth for saying controversial self-styled social media activist, VeryDarkMan is 'a necessity.' Kuti said he doesn't believe Ojo's activism was earned at getting justice for the late singer but targeted at Naira Marley .
And I don't believe you guys politicised his death because you were looking for justice because now what's the findings? Did you accept the government's findings? I read somewhere that the government said Mohbad died of substance abuse. If you guys believe the government findings, what are we doing? Justice for what? 'I believe personally, it was a movement against Naira Marley at the end of the day. I don't see anything other than that.
