Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka, says it will be tough to choose between playing for Nigeria’s Super Eagles and England’s Three Lions at international level.
Saka has had a breakthrough season with the Gunners, scoring four goals and providing 11 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for the London side, a performance that earned him a four-year contract extension and an international battle over his services by England and Nigeria.
Recent reports in England say the Nigeria Football Federation has intensified efforts to attract the Arsenal player to feature for them after recently losing Chelsea duo, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, to the Three Lions.“I’m happy to have represented England at youth level but I’m also proud of my Nigerian heritage from my parents.
England manager, Gareth Southgate, was at the Wembley stadium to watch Saka and Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, during their semi-final FA Cup clashes against Manchester City and Chelsea respectively and Saka believes England’s future looks bright.
