Michael, who has five people working for him in his business, said that being a boss is more than just giving orders.“As a boss, I try to push them out of their comfort zone by assigning various tasks to help them reach new heights in their personal development.Michael added that such gatherings also allow team members to bond with one another outside of work.

A businessman who wanted to be known only as Charles said employees at his company are treated the way he would have treated his younger self.“I was in that spot once and understand their hardship. That is why I almost always give them the benefit of the doubt,” said Charles, who co-runs a small construction company.

Fitness equipment supplier JH Lim said he would ensure all his workers have their personal needs and interests looked into.“Prioritising their needs also increases their work satisfaction, which can improve productivity.
