The cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has released a statement after an IT glitch involving its technology sparked mass outages around the world.
GP surgeries across England have reported being unable to book appointments or access patient records as their EMIS Web system went down. Writing on X, formerly Twitter, CrowdStrike president George Kurtz said the problem was caused by a “defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts”.
