Counsel for the Indigenous People of Biafra, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has raised concern over the denial of adequate medical attention to his client and leader of the IPOB group, Nnamdi Kanu.
In a letter dated January 30, the lawyer revealed that the DSS has no adequate medical facilities to treat Kanu’s worsening health condition or care for his left eardrum which was badly affected following his ordeal in the hands of his captors.
“Our indefatigable Lead Counsel seized the opportunity offered by the visit to discuss the present health condition of Onyendu. Onyendu carefully narrated to him the non-provision of proper medical care to the barrage of life-threatening illnesses he is faced with.”
