The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has sympathised with the families of flood and fatal boat accident victims in Ogbaru, Anambra West and Anambra East local government areas of Anambra State. IPOB in a condolence statement on Thursday by its Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, described the incidents as sad. Many lives and property were lost in the affected communities.

The group, while praying for God’s consolation for the victims and bereaved families, called on the state and federal governments and the international ecological intervention bodies to intervene and rescue the people of Ogbaru and flood-ravaged areas in the state. “We sympathize with many affected families who lost their loved ones, houses, and properties including those who were forced to relocate from their homes due to the flood. May Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama give you strength and courage to forge ahead. IPOB is in solidarity with the affected families.
