The words of Ambassador Isopi are encouraging that the EU could increase its investment in Nigerian textile industry and help the country produce its varied brands of fabrics that were famous in the 1980s before the sector went into coma due to inefficiency and corruption. Therefore Nigeria awaits a huge investment from the EU in this sector as the bloc is one of Nigeria’s biggest trading partners in the world.
It was instructive that the Fashion show was an extraordinary initiative because it brought together so many talents as young Nigerians distinguished themselves during the show. Isopi was also joined by a renowned fashion designer, Paolo Sisiano; Enioluwa Adeoluwa, the EU Brand Ambassador and an Influencer, and CEO of the Abuja Fashion Academy Mrs. Nine Kwande as judges during the process of selecting the winners.

Workers to receive cost of living, petrol allowances•Fed Govt, states propose palliatives to cushion effects of petrol subsidy withdrawal’ The National Economic Council (NEC) yesterday considered two forms of palliatives for workers and vulnerable persons to cushion the effects of petrol subsidy removal. The proposals are “living cost allowance” of over N702 billion and “petroleum allowance” ranging from N23.5 billion to N45 billion per month.
