He noted that these ills have remained the major challenges in Niger villages sharing borders with states such as Kaduna, Kebbi, Katsina and Zamfara.
“Usually experienced in Minna and Kontagora parts of the State, the Command had embarked on massive raids of black spots in conjunction with other security agencies in the state through which many of the thugs disturbing the peace in the metropolis were arrested and prosecuted. This has ensured relative peace in the metropolis, while close monitoring continues.”
Ayodeji also presented the AIG with the need of the command which he said would enhance the work and boost the morale of the operatives. In his remarks, the AIG Williams noted that the force is in the eye of the storm in the country presently because as an institution they are responsible for addressing every breach of the peace in the various States of the country.
He said as a body vested with the responsibility to ensure peace and security, it is imperative that they are well equipped with the logistics and capability required to combat insecurity.
