Insecurity: South East governors seek audience with Buhari, security chiefs
The chairman, South East Governors Forum, Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi, disclosed this on Saturday while briefing journalists after the forum’s meeting in Enugu.
The forum chairman announced a ban on herders who moved with AK47 rifles and or machete in the region. “We have banned herders who move about with AK47 and machete and we want our security agencies to enforce the order,” he said. He encouraged other state governors to replicate the measure in their respective states to ensure the safety of the people.
