Insecurity: Soldiers didn’t kill Delta indigenes, herdsmen did – Gov. Okowa
The Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa on Thursday said soldiers didn’t kill indigenes of Uwheru Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Governor Okowa made the assertion at the 2020 Quarterly Media Interaction with Journalists at the Government House, Asaba. While noting that it is not easy to manage the bushes in the Community, Governor Okowa lamented that the herdsmen are a major challenge to the State. He appealed to the brigade commander of the Nigerian Army in Asaba to provide adequate security of the bushes so that the people of Uwheru Community can return back to their lands and do their normal businesses.
