Bartholomew Onyenka, the commissioner of Police in Plateau, has deployed mobile personnel to troubled communities as part of efforts to restore sanity in the state.

The Plateau governor said 80 percent of the incidents are “pure genocide”, adding that over 30,000 people have been displaced.

Reacting to this development, Alfred Alabo, the police command spokesperson, said the commissioner has charged the personnel to fish out the perpetrators of the attacks and restore lasting peace to the affected communities He said the commissioner warned the officers to be professional as anyone found wanting would not be spared.“The quest is to bring the perpetrators to justice and restore lasting peace on the Plateau,” he said.
