The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it will announce the total number of uncollected permanent voter cards (PVCs) after the distribution exercise ends.

According to Rotimi Oyekanmi, chief press secretary to the INEC chairman, the commission can only give the accurate number of PVCs yet to be collected after it has stopped distribution of the cards.
