The State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, while campaigning a few months ago, promised to restore power, which had been disconnected by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company , over non-payment of accumulated bills, running into millions of naira.
Ihedioha, who had opened talks with the EEDC on ways to clear the debt, directed the state-owned Imo Power and Rural Electricity Agency , headed by its Director General, Dr. Albert Okorogu, to restore power at the secretariat without delay.
