Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) under Governor Hope Uzodimma of creating an unfriendly environment resulting in a declining state economy and rising unemployment.

Specifically, the PDP lamented the closure of 102 bakeries, which it said, had led to the loss of over 15,306 jobs in the state.

The PDP in Imo State frowns on the news about how as many as 102 bakeries in the State have been forced to close shop, owing to bad business and economic conditions, culminating in the sad sack of 15,306 workers in the state.“This party feels outraged at such revelation about the economic hardship in the state among entrepreneurs and citizens. Consequently, Imo PDP hereby charges Uzodimma to wake up and address the bad economy, the poverty and sufferings of Imo people.

But in a swift reaction, Governor Uzodimma insisted that the state government under his watch was committed to building strong economy through the introduction of friendly policies.
