IMO State Government on Monday inaugurated the Local Government Community Policing in the state with HRH Eze Dr. Emmanuel Okeke as the chairman.

Other traditional rulers inaugurated as principal officers are Ezes David Osuagwu, Thomas Obiefule and Goddy Okeke as Deputy Chairmen for Owerri Zone, Orlu Zone and Okigwe Zone respectively.

The monarchs; Jude Uwalaka, John Agbugba, Dan Emereonye, Cyprian Eze, Patrick Uwalaka and Iheanacho Ndukwe, were inaugurated as chairmen of the community policing in Ihitte Uboma, Isiala Mbano, Ehime Mbano, Onuimo, Obowo and Okigwe LGAs respectively in Okigwe Zone. Okoro, who is a former Police Commissioner, said, “The governor has high regards for traditional institution. And as the Chief Security Officer of the state, he deemed it necessary to pick these ezes on his own volition to help in maintaining crime-free LGAs in the state.
