Some workers of the Owerri Capital Development Authority, Imo State, have been accused of invading and vandalising a hotel, Bilton Hotel, in Owerri, the state capital.
Duruaku said he was away when he received a call from one of his staff that the officials were in the hotel for a notice of integrity test on the facility.“About 10 minutes later, one of my staff called me again to say they had beaten my security man and moved in to loot some property in the hotel.He valued the property destroyed at N9m, adding that he had reported the incident to the state Commissioner of Police and Director, Department of State Services.
The General Manager of the Owerri Capital Development Authority, Innocent Ikpemezie, denied the allegations against the agency.
