“The particular place of worship is not the only one in the area, but while the sounds coming from others are bearable, that of the place in question are intolerable.”
Copies of the petition were sent to the state Police Command, the press and the state’s Commissioner for Environment, Alhaji Mohammed Saifudeen.
The petition urged government to call the management of the religious house to order to lessen the deafening noise coming from the four cone speakers mounted at the pinnacle of the mosque each time a call to prayer is made.
