Ilorin emirate to observe virtual Eid-el-Kabir prayers
With a few hours to Eid-el-Kabir, the two rakat prayers would be transmitted live virtually in Ilorin Emirate on Friday.
The monarch said the decision, “is in compliance with the safety protocols against the spread of COVID-19 infectious disease ravaging the country.” A statement by the spokesman of the Emir, Abdul Azeez Arowona in Ilorin, on Thursday appealed to Muslims to celebrate the festival peacefully in line with the dictates of Allah and his prophets.
