Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has warned that his government will not only begin to report Court Judges who connive with illicit drug barons but will print their names on the pages of Newspapers to expose their underhand dealings.
The Governor, who expressed surprise at the boldness of some drug dealers who seek legal means for the release of their confiscated illicit drug shipments, noted that his Government is ready to confront them and their judge's alleged collaborator.
Governor Yusuf said he discovered that individuals engaged in the illicit drug trade had successfully procured court orders for the release of their seized contraband from the corrupt judges who do not mean well for Kano. In response to the troubling development, Governor Yusuf instructed the state Attorney General to formulate a comprehensive strategy to prevent drug traffickers from exploiting legal loopholes in the state, and create a means that the situation will be taken care of.
