The acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has reacted to the death of the Ogun State Amotekun Commander, David Akinremi.In a statement signed Thursday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, the Acting IGP, on behalf of the entire officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, commiserated with family, friends and loved ones “on the sudden demise” of Akinremi, a retired Commissioner.
The police boss recalled that Akinremi was appointed as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1986, adding that he served with unwavering dedication and made significant contributions to the safety and security of the nation.
