Ajose Adeogun, the first minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), has died at age of 96.
The family of Adeogun announced his death on Monday.He also worked at Shell Petroleum Development Company.Commiserating with his family, Olusade Adeola, permanent secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration , said the death of Adeogun is a great loss to the FCT and the nation.
Adeola, in a statement on Tuesday, said the pioneer FCT minister played “a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of what is today the nation’s capital city”. The permanent secretary, who described the late Adeogun as a highly respected and revered personality, said his death was a great loss to the FCT and the nation as a whole.He said that it was evident that Adeogun’s contributions had left an indelible mark on the history and future of the nation’s capital, noting that his legacy would continue to inspire generations to come.
