The Nation Newspaper Ibadan begins countdown to Olakulehin's coronation as 43rd Olubadan
Preparations are in full swing for the coronation ceremony, scheduled for Friday, July 12, at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan.The ceremony is expected to attract a diverse array of dignitaries, including traditional rulers, government officials, and business tycoons.
The ultramodern historic palace, which had its completion delayed for a long time, will serve as the new official residence of the Olubadan of Ibadanland.Ibadan kingmakers had nominated and selected Oba Olakulehin as the Olubadan-designate in accordance with the Olubadan Chieftaincy Declaration of 1957.
The people of Ibadan are eager to witness the coronation of their new monarch, who is expected to bring peace and prosperity to the land.
