Ian Wright has offered an interesting argument over Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi's impact at Nottingham Forest since Brennan Johnson was sold
Ian Wright believes Nottingham Forest got the better deal when selling Brennan Johnson to Tottenham before signing Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi as cheaper replacements.
The latest weekend of Premier League football saw the spotlight shine on the three aforementioned attackers in particular. It was Elanga who assisted Hudson-Odoi to score a historic match-winner at Anfield on Saturday, then in contrasting fortune Johnson was hooked before the 70th minute as Postecoglou bemoaned his group's lack of threat in Sunday's North London derby.
Ultimately Forest likely would have chosen not to lose the 23-year-old to one of the Premier League's elite could it have been helped, as that decision ultimately came down to the need to try to avoid a breach of Profit and Sustainability Rules loss limits.
