Adaeze, the wife of Joseph Yobo, former Super Eagles defender and captain, says she was scared when he retired from football. The entrepreneur spoke about her husband’s retirement during a show hosted by Mercy Johnson Okojie. Adaeze said she was happy about the retirement at first because it helped the family settle. She, however, said she was scared he might get “depressed” afterward because football is all he does. “I was happy he retired, we traveled around, moved around, and stayed around different cities, so I was happy we finally get to settle, on my own side,” she said. “But I had the fear of how he will cope because this is what he has been doing all his life.
