The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, said that he would roll out the names of some new appointees very soon.
“Our people are expectant, and they want us to move as fast as possible, and we have started. The House of Assembly, yesterday , cleared some of our commissioner-nominees.
“The structure of the government will start taking shape in a few days. So, our people should not despair or think we are moving slowly this time around. No, we are not. We will even double our pace,” he promised. Earlier, the state’s former deputy governor and PDP Deputy National Chairman , Taofeek Arapaja, thanked the governor for empowering the people of the state and executing laudable projects.
He said the governor had kept his promise to the people of the state in his first term and expressed confidence that he would not deviate from that style in Omituntun. The delegation included the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Muhammed Fadeyi; a member representing Ibadan’s North-East and South-East Federal Constituencies, Abbas Agboworin; the Director-General, Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation, Bayo Lawal; the PDP state Secretary, Wasiu Adeleke; the PDP state PRO, Akeem Olatunji; and the PDP state Women Leader, Wulemat Ibitoye, among others.All rights reserved.
