Bola Tinubu, president-elect, says he couldn’t have won the presidential election without the support of Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party had the second-highest figure with 6,984,520 votes, while Peter Obi of the Labour Party was next with 6,101,533 votes. He said he won the presidential election “fair and square”, adding that he went through a difficult campaign but eventually emerged victorious.
“In his excellency, I see a man of principle. He took a principled stance that the presidency must come to the south and he had the courage to stand by his own conviction not minding whose ox is gored.
