Festus Keyamo, minister of state for labour and employment, says he acquired his property in the country and abroad legally.
Keyamo said this in reaction to a claim that he acquired a US home for over $300,000 shortly after he was appointed minister in 2019.
“In 2021, I again wrote to the relevant agencies , informing them of the movement of those funds out of the country to purchase a property as a better investment decision. The minister said it is laughable to suggest that after his hard work over 30 years, he could not afford “a relatively modest property”.
