HYPPADEC Hands N1.2bn Niger Water Project Over To Contractor News
The contractor is to ensure total overhauling of the New Bussa water works in Borgu local government area of Niger state.
The managing director of HYPPADEC, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa made this known during the handing over ceremony at the site in New Bussa. He said if the rehabilitation was completed it would end the over 20 years water scarcity in New Bussa and its environs. Sadiq Yelwa disclosed that the contract is for a duration of six months for its completion and warned the contractors to ensure contract specifications so as to have value for money or face revocation.
Represented by the director of community and rural development directorate, Dr Mahmud Mohammed Umar, the HYPPADEC boss described the project as a critical project to the commission.
