How terrorists are taking advantage of 2023 elections – Shehu Sani via politicsngr
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Senator Sani lamented that the outlaws are taking advantage of the electioneering season.
Recall that gunmen armed with AK-47 rifles abducted more than 30 people from a train station in Edo state at the weekend. These attacks are the latest example of the growing insecurity that has spread to nearly every corner of Africa’s most populous country, posing a challenge to the government in advance of a February presidential election.
“Terrorists in Zamfara have stepped up their attacks and abductions. They are taking advantage of the fact that the attention of the leaders is focused on the preservation of power in the forthcoming February elections. “The security of the country should be a priority all times,” Sani wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
