In the supplementary elections that took place Saturday, the All Progressives Congress scored 25,515 votes in the 136 polling units cancelled in 22 local governments of the state, while the Peoples Democratic Party scored 22,444 votes. Recall that the APC scored 486,145 in the March 9th governorship elections, while the PDP scored 489,558, leaving a margin difference of 3,413 votes.
