A Nigerian student and Twitter user, Younggreezy, has narrated how he was ill-profiled as a fraudster by the officers of the Nigeria Police Force on his way back to school on Saturday along Owo/Ifon-Benin road in Ondo State. The student narrated that the police officers stopped his and accused him of being a ‘Yahoo-Boy’ despite no incriminating evidence was found in his custody.
“My cloths; they searched my bags and found nothing they said I was a yahoo boy; so to clear the air I gave them my phone they searched and found nothing before I could say anything the driver that took me brought my load outside dropped it in the police van and zoomed off in the middle of now where with four armed police; they took me and my friend inside bush after I had showed them my ID card as student and even my kofa page they told me if I didn’t cooperate they would kill me inside this...
Meanwhile, all attempts to obtain a response from Ondo State Police Spokesperson, Adeoye Akeem Adeola, on the report were unsuccessful. He did not respond to several phone calls and text messages seeking his response to Younggreezy's claims.
