Emmanuel Eboserenmhen, 25, is a graduate of Political Science from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, whose photos went viral on the social media shortly after completing his National Youth Service Corps programme. The singer, who hails from the Esan South-East Local Government Area of the state, shares his story with ALEXANDER OKERE

My experience was the best ever in life. It was full of adventure. Initially, so many persons talked me into taking an exemption letter. But I let them speak and did what I wanted. My dream was to wear that NYSC uniform and have that certificate because whenever I saw my siblings returning from school, I used to tell them that, one day, I must be like them but that my story would be better than theirs. They all agreed with me and we worked towards it.

I attended Sheffyville Nursery and Primary School, Lagos State. The secondary school I attended was Golden foundation , Lagos, and I am a graduate of Political Science from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma , Edo State. The first challenge I had at school was mobility. Although I had a wheelchair, I wanted the one that I would be able to move me around without being pushed by my friends and family.

The first thing people living with disabilities should know is that they should know who they are, what they have, when to apply what they have, how to apply what they have and retain what they already have.My dream as a child was to become a lawyer who would motivate many people losing hope. I also aspired to become a big musician. It can never affect it. I don’t see conditions. I see solutions. My inability to walk made me trust God and his process. It might be slow.
