World number one Scottie Scheffler, chasing a third straight win, missed a five-foot putt to force a play-off and finish in a five-way tie for second.Jaeger, who was part of a five-way tie for the lead heading into the final round, carded four birdies and a bogey on the front nine before making nine straight pars.
But the world number one, who won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship back-to-back, spurned the opportunity - his first missed putt inside seven feet all weekend.
